CAMS was founded in 1991 by Mike Stonestreet and Dave Sweyer with a commitment to quality and a focus on industry education. With more than 50% of its managers holding designations including CMCA, AMS, LSM, or PCAM, compliance with Community Associations Institute’s Professional Manager Code of Ethics is part of this education and an expectation of all management staff. The CAMS Team works for your association at the directive of your Board providing guidance based on General Statute, Governing Documents, and industry experience.

Our Community Manager - Tara Armstrong
Prior to working in Association Management, Tara studied Finance and Technical Management and worked in the Banking and Telecommunications industries. She has been with CAMS since February 2012 and carries both CMCA and AMS Designations with Community Associations Institute. In her time working with owners associations, she has worked with single-family home communities, townhouses, condominiums, commercial properties, and marinas with amenities ranging from pools to butterfly gardens. To Tara, working with owners associations is like opening a box of chocolates every day. As Forrest Gump said, “You never know what you’re gonna get.”
